NSW – Improving young people’s wellbeing

We have formed a Health Coalition with Weave and The Inspire Foundation to focus on the needs of young people suffering from mental health disorders.

Our work includes:

  • focusing on a project called Reach Out, a digital story-telling program which develops stories that positively inform and support young people with managing mental illness and sexual health awareness using innovative communication channels. Visit www.reachout.com
  • launching the new Weave Arts Centre at Carriageworks, North Eveleigh, showcasing work created by people who have been
marginalised by circumstance, disabilities or mental health issues. The venue uses art to raise awareness and understanding of mental health issues for many individuals and organisations, removing many of the stereotypes and myths. Visit www.weaveartscentre.org.au

“Using art to express yourself in a non threatening environment is a great way to relate to other people and share each other’s stories.” Corporate partner comment.
