About Us

With 125 years’ experience internationally (operating in 41 countries worldwide, raising over $5 billion making us the world’s largest privately funded not for profit) and a well respected reputation locally (we began in Australia in 1958), United Way has the necessary expertise to bring together the programs and people who deliver powerful outcomes. And because we are free from any political or religious affiliations, we can really focus on the needs of the community.

Our Community Impact mission is to mobilise communities to create lasting change in community conditions that improve lives.

“125 years experience internationally (operating in 41 countries worldwide)”

Through the hard work of over 3000 volunteers who help support 300 grassroots community organisations in Australia, we’re focused on making a real difference to three broad areas in our communities: Education, Health and Income – the building blocks for a good quality life, identified through our Common Cause research. We’re not just looking for temporary solutions. We’re looking for permanent change.
