Board

The United Way Australia (UWA) Board is the national body for United Ways throughout Australia. It incorporates United Way Sydney, Melbourne and Queensland’s operations, which each operate as a division of UWA. The organisation holds the United Way licence in Australia and has a membership of individuals from communities across Australia.

The UWA Board is trustee of the Public Ancillary Fund, United Way Australia Donations Fund (UWA Trust.)

Board Members:

Brian Long – Chairman, United Way Australia

Brian Long was appointed to the United Way Australia Board on 1 September 2010. Brian retired as a partner of Ernst & Young in June 2010. Until that time he was the Chairman of both the Ernst & Young Global Advisory Council and of the Oceania Area Advisory Council. He was one of the firm’s most experienced audit partners with over 30 years experience in serving on major Australian public companies including those in the financial services, property, insurance and media sectors. In late 2010 Brian was also appointed Chair of Network Ten Holdings Limited and to the Board of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

Tom Brigstocke – Managing Director, Principals Pty Ltd

Alison Frame – Manager Social Policy Delivery and Planning Division, Department of Human Services

Stacey Grose – Senior Associate, BJT Legal
