It’s work done with passion and compassion, but just as much objectivity – as we’re not bound by political or religious alliances. And we hold ourselves accountable through our commitment to ongoing measurement of the effect of our work.
We support local communities in 41 countries – important work that is enabled by the support of leaders like you. We work with our leading supporters as trusted advisors, investing their money and time into local strategies (Education, Income, Health and Homelessness) that have a high social return. In addition to the work we do in Sydney, the United Way Penrith Community Fund (a group of Penrith community and business leaders) run key community initiatives including an annual winter appeal, business leader sleep out to raise awareness of homelessness and santa run to raise money for Christmas food hampers.
United Way Sydney Council
Our Sydney Council is charged to develop and execute a business development strategy to grow the resource base to support United Way’s Community Impact strategies. It is also responsible for the development of local Community Impact strategies and overseeing local grant making.
